Your Repair with sopp+sopp…
Here we answer some of the most common questions you may have regarding your repair with sopp+sopp…

We assess your claim on an individual basis and will tailor our approach to your repair based on the incident-related damage to your vehicle. This ensures that your repairs are dealt with in the swiftest and most efficient way possible.
Firstly, we will determine whether your vehicle is economically or safely repairable. If it is, your repairs will be allocated within our network. If it isn’t, and your vehicle is deemed a total loss (or write off), we will offer you a monetary settlement.
If your vehicle can be repaired, we’ll book it in with one of our approved repair partners. Our extensive repair network includes mobile repair solutions, a growing estate of owned Activate Accident Repair sites, and bodyshop partners across the UK.
We diligently select our repairers, ensuring they can demonstrate the same commitment to high quality repairs and customer satisfaction that we do.
Our repairer will produce an initial estimate to repair your vehicle based on comprehensive images, without the need to bring your vehicle into the bodyshop, limiting the time it takes to assess the damage and reducing the disruption to your daily life.
Our qualified in-house engineers will review the estimate thoroughly and provide the repairer with the authority to proceed, at which point you will be contacted to arrange a booking in date for your vehicle to go in for repairs at your convenience.
Once your vehicle is with the repairer, they will assess your vehicle in-person and if any further incident-related damage is found, they will add it to the estimate, so you can be sure that all incident-related damage to your vehicle will be repaired.

Your repairs will be allocated to a repairer from our network in a suitable location close to your home/work address. The repairer will have the tools and expertise to meet your vehicle’s repair requirements.
We also offer a mobile repair solution; they have 100% UK postcode coverage and as they are mobile, they have a faster turnaround than traditional bodyshops.
Mobile repairs are usually applicable to roadworthy vehicles with minor or cosmetic damage, which can include scratches, dents, scuffs and bolt-on part replacements such as wing mirrors. Our mobile repair partner offers a high-quality repair in a location to suit you - it could be your driveway, or the carpark at your work. This could be a convenient and quicker repair solution for your vehicle’s damage.
-
We focus on quality and efficiency, and our knowledgeable team will do everything they can to get your vehicle repaired and back on the road as soon as possible.
For minor or cosmetic damage, we’ll allocate your vehicle to a mobile repairer who could book and complete your repairs in as little as a day.
If your vehicle needs to be taken into a bodyshop to complete repairs, one of our network of carefully selected and vetted repairers suited to your specific damage will be allocated.
At the moment, demand for repair capacity is high and there are industry-wide challenges with the availability of vehicle parts, making repair times more difficult to predict. We will do everything we can to ensure you are not affected by these issues, and keep you informed every step of the way.
Due to the global COVID-19 pandemic, some bodyshops were unable to continue operations which led to them permanently closing, reducing service coverage. To help alleviate this issue, we are continuing to expand our own bodyshop coverage in high demand areas through investing in our Activate Accident Repair sites. These sites are equipped with the latest vehicle repair technologies and energy efficient infrastructure, providing us with an ever-increasing capacity to complete vehicle repairs swiftly and effectively.

For your vehicle repairs through our network, we only use manufacturer approved parts, offer a guarantee of 5 years for the workmanship, and parts will be guaranteed in line with the manufacturer timeframe for repairs that we have carried out for your peace of mind.
At present, there are significant challenges with the global supply of vehicle parts, resulting in delays for some customers. We’ll let you know if there is any indication that parts delays may affect your vehicle, and we may look to source green parts to help speed up the repairs for you. Green parts are second-hand original manufacturer parts recovered from vehicles when a vehicle has come to the end of its useful life.
Some vehicles declared a ‘total loss’ by insurance companies will still have many undamaged parts and components, which can be safely salvaged and reused by repairers. They provide the same repair quality as new original manufacturer parts and can be used mainly for cosmetic repairs in the instance that your vehicle repairs are delayed due to parts supply.
If we decide that green parts could be suitable for your repairs, we will contact you first to ensure you are content with this before we make our enquiries, and will only proceed with sourcing green parts if you are happy for us to do so.

Sometimes due to the amount of damage sustained in an incident, we may declare your vehicle a ‘total loss’ or write off. This means that your vehicle is either not economically or not safely repairable. In these cases, we will offer you a monetary settlement.
Older vehicles may be more likely to be considered as a total loss due to their lower market value as the cost of the repairs may exceed that of the vehicle’s worth.
You may be able to keep your vehicle if it is deemed a total loss, depending on the severity of vehicle damage. All total loss vehicles are assessed and assigned a category based on condition and repairability. If your vehicle falls into categories S or N, it is uneconomical to repair, but you can choose to keep your vehicle if you wish. However, if it falls into categories A or B, it must be crushed by a licensed professional as it cannot be safely used on the road following the damage sustained.
You will be informed as soon as we believe your vehicle may be a total loss, and we will keep you updated throughout the process of confirming this and the course of your settlement.
-
You will be provided with a replacement vehicle suitably comparable to your own for the duration of the repairs, or from the point of us confirming your vehicle is unroadworthy, if we can determine that your own vehicle had a valid MOT and was taxed at the time of the incident.
This will come at no cost to yourself and will be organised through one of our hire provider partners; they will be instructed to contact you to arrange the delivery of the hire vehicle for you at your own convenient time.
-
As a non-fault third party, we will pay for the repairs to your vehicle; we receive the repairer’s invoice directly and we pay them for the work they have completed at no cost to you.
We don’t ask for any excess to be paid on your behalf, all you need to do is make your vehicle available for repairs to take place at a time suitable to you and we will handle all the costs for you.
-
Your insurer will have their own terms and conditions laid out in your policy regarding the notification of accidents taking place with your vehicle.
If you do notify them that you’ve been in an accident, this does not mean that they need to handle your repairs on your behalf. You can notify your insurer that we will be handling your repairs for you, and they do not need to have contact with us.
As an accident management company, we are here to provide you with an alternative to claiming through your own insurance.
