£2 million investment boosts repair capacity for fleets

sopp+sopp’s fleet customers will benefit from guaranteed repair capacity at two new purpose-built repair centres through sister-company Activate Accident Repair.

State-of-the-art repair centres

The new body shops, based in Mildenhall in the South-East and Sunderland in the North-East, represent an investment of more than £2 million in state-of-the-art repair facilities.

Like all Activate Accident Repair centres, the sites are equipped with the latest technology, including the ability to repair structural composite materials and EVs.

The announcement comes as the vehicle repair industry faces significant pressure, with demand for repairs outstripping available capacity in many parts of the country.

Investment in these new centres is part of a strategic growth plan that will see Activate Accident Repair open more bodyshops to complement its existing strategic repair relationships.

Callum Langan, Commercial Director, sopp+sopp said: “These two new sites are part of our strategy to build a hybrid repair network that includes guaranteed, owned capacity, and strong UK-wide partnerships with bodyshop groups and independent repairers.

“Many of our fleet customers are working towards reducing emissions, and we’re proud to be investing in bodyshops with the equipment and expertise to safely repair the very latest vehicle technology.
